Many will remember the catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010. Eleven years later, the recent earthquake has destroyed thousands of homes and buildings in a nation reeling from the assassination of its president in July. We offer our prayers to the families who have suffered great loss. Cardinal Dolan has asked the people of the Archdiocese to help. If you would like to contribute to the relief efforts, place your donation in an envelope labeled “Haiti Relief.” Please make checks payable to “St. Elizabeth Ann Seton” and write “Haiti” in the memo line. We would be pleased to receive your donation by September 13th. As always, thank you for your generous support. May Our Lady of Perpetual Help, patroness of Haiti, intercede for the Church in Haiti.
