During the months of July and August, The Community Food Pantry at St. Mary’s Mohegan Lake will be collecting school supplies that will be distributed to families with school aged children at the start of the new school year. Over 230 children received supplies last year. That is 42 more than the year before. Parents/Guardians and children were delighted and
grateful.
So when you are out shopping and sales are on, please pick up an extra pack of pencils, crayons, highlighters, markers, pens, notebooks (marble or other kinds), composition paper, folders, rulers, or maybe even a backpack to carry all those supplies.
Supplies may be dropped off at the pantry during church office hours, Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 2:00 or Saturday mornings from 7:30 am to 11:00 am. If you are not a shopper of school supplies and still wish to contribute to a successful start of the new school year for our children, please make a donation by check payable to The Community Food Pantry, note in the memo “for school supplies,” and mail to The Community Food Pantry, 1836 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547, or visit
the pantry website,
cfpstmarysmoheganlake.com (be sure to indicate the donation is for school supplies).
