Easter is around the corner and the pantry is gearing up. It is early this year, April 1, 2018. In 2017 the pantry served 104 families each week and when it is a holiday distribution that
number can double. 331 Easter Baskets were distributed last year and 190 families received a bountiful meal to share with loved ones. It is with your help that the pantry is able to reach so many.
Hams, turkeys and the fixings for a festive meal are needed. So look for those sales. Donations of Easter goodies for children age 12 and under will be greatly appreciated. Donations may be dropped off at St. Mary’s during church office hours, Tuesday and Friday between the hours of 9:30 am and 2 am. (Please alert the office by calling 914-528-3972), Saturday mornings between 8 am and 11 am or even the day of the set-up. Set-up will be Friday, March 30th, between 3pm and 5 pm. Distribution will be Saturday, March 31st. Since it is a very busy set-up and distribution and we have the safety of our volunteers in mind, we ask that all volunteers be 13 years of age or older.
Younger volunteers accompanied by an adult are welcome any other time. Thank you
for understanding.
Alternative gift cards to celebrate Easter are available. Cards may be purchased by
contacting the pantry …
e-mail at stmarysmlpantry@yahoo.com. (subject cards)
or
online at the website www.cfpstmarysmoheganlake.com (message cards)
A donation of $20 per card or $50 for three cards will help support the on-going
operation of the pantry and it is a wonderful way to express the joy and gratitude of the
Easter season. If purchasing online, cards will be mailed to you so please include a
mailing address.
